KYS aims to empower the instructor to use multidimensional data in their own instruction by providing them with an easy way to access, collect and analyze data about their students, the results of various interventions, and the longitudinal effects of these interventions into a resource that we call the “Instructional Portfolio.” By creating an organized and common place for faculty to access and engage their instructional data and by strengthening the associated support community around it, MIDAS will manage the complex and changing landscape of instructional methods and datatypes, allowing the instructor to focus more on their students and the connections that can be made between student challenges and the resources available to the faculty member for improving instruction.
